  • Creative Coast Contest entry! Camp Life – Jesse Brackett

Camp Life is a documentary based on how the community feels about camps. I brought in my grandfather, Ron Brackett he has been working in the forest industry for over 50 years. Then I brought in a Forest Engineer: Shane Simard, A Tree Planter: Rob Telferd, and finally a Tree Faller: Steve Venus. The whole video is based on how they feel about camp what were the pros/cons how they feel about camp and what kind of person it takes to work at a Forestry/Logging Camp. So i hope you enjoy the documentary it took me over 3 weeks to create and a lot of sleepless nights So please enjoy and thank you.

  • A Christmas Surprise from Coast Forest!

Spreading holiday cheer is best when it’s a group effort. This year, Coast Forest did just that, building a community-based video Christmas card though our social media contest promotion. Participants learned about the coastal forest industry from our educational website, Our Forests Our Roots, where they could download a  forestry decal so that they could create their own unique holiday designs relating.

To further engage our audience, participants had the chance to be featured in our Christmas Card video, win a $100 Visa gift card and the satisfaction of knowing a $100 donation would go to the Boys and Girls Club of South Coast BC on behalf of that winner, courtesy of Coast Forest.

Contest winner and Vancouver resident Evelyn Beckett, whose winning entry is featured in the card’s final frame, says she was delighted to take part in the event: “I have many ideas (for the contest) and I would like share them with you. Christmas time inspires me!”

Coast Forest would like to thank all of our very talented designers and invites everyone in coastal BC to share this community-inspired holiday card. Click here to view!
